Exklusive online class with designer Cecilia Pettersson: Let´s print and pattern (in English)
About the class:
For six week you will get weekly tutorials followed by a design assignment where you can practice on your own skills.
This course will give you the tools to start designing print and patterns and take the first step towards a new hobby or a new carrier as a print designer.
In the class you will learn how to make different repeats and how to work from a design brief. The course is based on drawing by hand hand to work with the repeats. To create a repeat is easy but to draw a pattern that has a function is harder.
Once a week Cecilia will send live on Substack and share her own process with you, talking about the materials that she uses and how her designs are done. You will also have time to talk about the assignment and other things related to print and pattern.
You will get access to a Substack group where you can post your weekly assignment and meet the rest of the class. In the group you can talk about the course and give each other feedback. The “network” in a class is as impotant as the class itself and to learn from each other is great.
